PeterCooperJr requesting critique
[edit ]These are some of my favorites of pictures I've taken recently, could someone please give me some advice on things to focus on improving? Thanks.

- @PeterCooperJr: These look fine to me. File:Rider Tavern, western front door, December 2024, Charlton, Massachusetts.jpg needs a perspective correction, and the shadow at the bottom is disturbing. You could submit them to Commons:Quality images candidates/candidate list. Yann (talk) 10:07, 25 February 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- Thank you for the feedback! In terms of perspective correction, do you mean it would have been preferable if I had shot it straight on rather than at an angle (and "correction" would be to post-process it to look as though that's what I did)? And agreed on the shadow, but that's just where the shadow of the sign out front was, but I guess I should have tried to frame or crop it differently. - No, I mean a post-processing correction. The sides of the door should be vertical. Yann (talk) 14:45, 25 February 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Color balance
[edit ]Hi, What do you think about the color balance of this picture? The first seems too cold, and the second looks weird, or is it me? From the description, this is the place. Yann (talk) 17:30, 20 February 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- Comment The second looks weird because there's a red tint. The shadows, which should be black or a neutral grey, are now dark red. However, the second image of course has the advantage of having all the dust and stuff removed. Perhaps the red tint could be corrected digitally? dllu (talk) 04:23, 6 March 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- @dllu: Thanks for your message. Is it better like this, or should I do more? Yann (talk) 20:43, 8 March 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- Finally, I reverted the color change. It looks too blue now. I can't find how to get a proper color balance. Any idea? Yann (talk) 14:31, 9 March 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
