I completed a backup and then did an upgrade from 3.07 to 3.1 beta - no issues.

I find no inconsistences with Tab Info and PDF reports re: #387 for my active tabs (Weight, BP, Temp, and Oximetry)! I particularly like the "Measurements in Filter" and "Measurements in Database" now included in Weight.

Edit: I thinking about #366 (and in turn #329 and #348) assuming in 3.1 beta:

  • No Value
  • Feeling good and Good (green) is :)
  • Not feeling good and Not good (orange) is :|
  • Feeling bad and Bad (red) is :(

in Diary I have :) and :( on, :| is off. But, Diary Info totals show a lot of :| and the PDF report shows only Good (green) and Not good (orange) markers.

With :| off in Diary Settings - this seems not as expected?

This has been a very quiet beta phase, which is good!
I just released v3.1.0 so this thread is closed

@ja7833 saw your edits only now. I agree there is a some inconsistency between showing colors and icons. The colors came later and I initially tried showing the icons in the chart, was quite unusable.

And the on/off settings so far are only reflected in the tab, not the chart. Is there value in reflecting the on/off settings in the chart as well?

I don't believe reflecting on/off settings in the tab is needed in the chart.

But, in my case at least I don't believe the inconsistency in Diary is in colors vs icons - it is that in both the Tab and the PDF

Not feeling good and Not good (orange) is :|

is counted/displayed but, I only add :) or :(

If I had to guess this is probably due in part to user error - even though I have display of :| off, when adding a Diary entry it still possible to record "Not feeling good" it just doesn't display it on the Tab.

Let me know if this makes sense? I can open a "New issue."

Yes, you will always be able to select the respective state, the setting is just reflected in what's shown in the tab.
The idea behind this approach is that e.g. people with more bad than good days may want the good days to stand out in the tab. Others with more good than bad may want the opposite.
And if you enable all 3, you won't be able to see the wood for the trees. Too many icons which don't really look all that different.

This makes sense. In looking and thinking about it again - I think the Diary Tab and PDF are good.
