Err, sorry. Didn't notice this until now. This was apparently caused by a hand-mangled merge when collaborating with an "auto eval" feature with somebody. The basic idea was that if you type something that isn't a command, it should assume it's a statement and run it. I wasn't really opposed to the idea but thought it would be confusing to turn it on by default because it would output unexpected errors.

Or apparently I broke the master branch to not output errors at all. -_- Anyway, I actually found and fixed this a couple days ago when I merged in the auto-eval feature.
Sorry I didn't answer this sooner. I really should stop letting my emails pile up.
