Food rescue staff are often multi tasking. For example, they may be
doing data entry while communicating with volunteers about ongoing
shifts. The less steps it takes to accomplish a task, the more
attention they can give to the time-bound tasks. When adding a new
shift, sometimes they already have a volunteer in mind for it. With the
current workflow, this takes several steps to accomplish. When they
have to add several shifts in a row, these extra steps add up.
The new shift form now more closely resembles the shift occurrence edit
form, with tasks and volunteers in columns side by side below the other
fields.
