Delver Engine is a toolset created to help revitalize the previously Roblox exclusive genre of delverlikes.
NOTE: Delver engine is more of a Godot Addon than a full game engine. The name just sounds cooler than "Delver Template"
What is a delverlike?
Delverlikes are a subgenre of roguelike characterized by their survival horror elements and task based progression. Games like REPO and Baldi's Basics+ are similar to this genre but not directly inspired by any games in it.
The first delverlike was Minus Decendance which is certainly... an acquired taste? Its sequel Minus Elevation is significantly better and the basis for all modern delverlikes.
Why make Delver Engine?
Delverlikes are now a dying breed due to Roblox's mismanagement. You are required to both give up your ID to a shady company AND pay a hefty fee to roblox. This is completely unfair to smaller creators. One of the best delverlikes, Flop World, was killed off simply because the developer didn't like the idea of giving up their identity.
The only thing keeping people on roblox was easy access to multiplayer, which is usually more difficult in other engines. Delver engine provides already setup multiplayer with features like lobbies, steam peer to peer, and local lan play.
With this project I also hope to encourage more well designed delvers. A lot of delvers take heavy inspiration from the most popular game in the genre, Dandy's World, which has multiple fundamental flaws. I'm hoping with this project people will be encouraged to further innovate and create actually GOOD delvers.

Contribution
If you want to contribute, forking and then making a pull request is the best way to do it! Just don't vibecode your submission. Ew.
I recommend taking a look at the UML diagrams to see what could be implemented (or changed! The diagrams may need reformatting or updating). The diagrams use plantuml to be generated so use that if you want to update them.
Keep in mind this project depends on version 1.47.1 of netfox and version 4.19 of godotsteam. Heavy thanks to the contributors of those projects!
