Roadmap
2025
Week 10 2025 (Released V1.9) ✅
- Issue(s): K-Robin/GoEuropean#12
- Objective: Enhance support for additional paths.
- Details: Ensure that different paths (e.g.,
google.comandgoogle.com/maps) have distinct alternatives.
Week 11 2025 (Released V1.12) ✅
- Issue(s): K-Robin/GoEuropean#11, K-Robin/GoEuropean#13, K-Robin/GoEuropean#15
- Objective: Add country flags and icons.
- Details: Include flags next to country names. The GoEuropean icon/logo will indicate the number of alternatives or display a country flag if the website the user is on is already European. Text in the extension itself will also change if you're already on a European alternative.
Week 12 2025 (Scrapped ❌) - Android support will be moved, auto-redirect will not
- Issue(s): K-Robin/GoEuropean#7,
- Objective: Implement auto-redirect feature, and add support for firefox android.
- Details: Automatically redirect users to the "best" or chosen alternative.
Week 13 2025 (Planned for V1.13)
- Issue(s): K-Robin/GoEuropean#29, K-Robin/GoEuropean#25
- Objective: Implement "remind me later" button and use page action button.
- Details:" Some users want to be reminded in a week, or month when they see the pop-up. Page action button will allow the usert to see the extenson badge pop-up without having it pinned.
Week 14 2025 (Planned for V1.14)
- Issue(s): K-Robin/GoEuropean#27, K-Robin/GoEuropean#33
- Objective: Code cleanup, android support, and dark theme
- Details: Currently there's too many lines per file, it's almost unreadable. I've continued working like this for too long and need to change it so that it's more readable for everyone. Also add and test Firefox android support. Add dark theme.
Week 15 2025 (Planned for V1.15)
- Issue(s): K-Robin/GoEuropean#32
- Objective: Show alternatives for European websites
- Details: A European website may not entirely fit the users criteria so showing other European alternatives (without pop-up) in the extension UI is very useful.
