Thanks, this was a good hint! I can confirm, after deleting the save.txt and save.ini files from the config directory, the login also works again for me with qtile and the current version...

@AnErrupTion What do you mean by 'fresh Arch install' exactly? Do you mean a full, clean re-install of a machine? Or just a re-install of the package, maybe including removal of the config file(s)?
