99.9% sure this is the case now as I can avoid it consistently and resolve it on the rare times it does occur
Hitting a related v5 problem on Amazfit Active 2 (latest firmware released 4/8/26) with the latest GB nightly. Weather provider tested with both QuickWeather and Breezy Weather; same result.
