This PR adds support for self-signed certificates, enabling connection to a local instance of GitLab (cf. issue #109).

I do not have a local installation of GitLab to thoroughly test this, but from the changes and Google support for adding certificates I hope this would work.

I confirm this works.
For who stuck, the cert must have SAN :

$ openssl x509 -in /etc/ssl/certs/nginx-selfsigned.crt -noout -text | grep -A2 "Subject Alternative Name"
 X509v3 Subject Alternative Name: 
 DNS:gitlab.redacted.com
