This is the front-end code I had written for displaying errors. Looks like it's still working with the redesign (which looks really nice by the way :D). Example deployed and viewable at

For the most part, the changes are breaking out the different UI update pieces into separate functions. There's not too much "new" that's actually here beyond the error handling.
