Decision proposal
Background
- I am witnessing two incidents related to moderation behaviour and community members' well-being have been addressed by the well-being team acting with attributions associated with the moderation team.
- The shortage of dedicated human resources is evident
- Responsibility for the resolution of major issues of aggression by a single person is unhealthy and risks being mismanaged.
- AFAIK there are no professionals to take charge and advise on the execution of these tasks with mental health consequences.
Proposal
- The well-being team should be merged with the moderation team, at least as a temporary measure.
Impact
- All tasks dealt with by the well-Being team and the moderation team will be treated as one team sharing expertise and competences.
Who is affected?
- The entire Forgejo community
Elements of work
- Gather feedback from the current moderation and well-Being team.
- Are they comfortable with the increased responsibility they will be taking on?
- Are they going to resign?
- Define the scope of the new Well-Being and Moderation team by merging the two definitions above.
Who can vote?
- Anyone who takes note of the Proposed Decision can cast their vote.
