Repository for discussing license curations and filters

Background

At FOSDEM 2026 Fringe: FOSS license and security compliance tools workshop Fri, Jan. 30, 2026 several people engaged in discussions about:

• Type of curations
• Matcher type

We hope that this place will be a good starting point for continued discussions and hopefully reaching conclusions.

Goals

Create specification for curations and filters that:

• can be used by compliance tools
• should be kept simple
• adresses project name, version, origin
• provide information about the creator
• provide explanation about the curation/filter
