brutalSplash
A Minecraft resource pack for brutalCraft-themed splash texts.
Splash texts are the yellow lines of text on the title screen.
Installing and Activating the Resource Pack
This explains how to install and enable this resource pack in Minecraft, both in the vanilla Minecraft launcher and the Prism Launcher.
📦 1. Obtaining the Resource Pack
- Download the
.zipfile of the resource pack from the latest release. - Do not extract the ZIP file.
🎮 2. Installing and Enabling the Resource Pack in the Vanilla Minecraft Launcher
- Move the
.zipfile into your Minecraftresourcepacksfolder.
Default Locations:
Windows:%appdata%.minecraft\resourcepacks
Linux:~/.minecraft/resourcepacks
macOS:~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/resourcepacks - Launch Minecraft.
- From the main menu, click Options.
- Click Resource Packs.
- Under "Available", find the brutalSplash resource pack.
- Click the arrow icon to move it to "Selected".
- Click Done.
🧩 3. Installing and Enabling the Resource Pack in the Prism Launcher
- Open Prism Launcher.
- Select your Minecraft instance.
- Click Edit.
- Go to the Resource Packs tab.
- Click Add File.
- Select the
.zipfile from your download location. - Return to Prism Launcher and launch the instance.
- In Minecraft, click Options from the main menu.
- Click Resource Packs.
- Under "Available", find the brutalSplash resource pack.
- Click the arrow icon to move it to the Selected column
- Click Done
Note: Since the main menu screen has already been loaded at this point, you will still see the previous splash text. A new message will be loaded on the next game restart, or whenever the title screen is re-loaded.
🔄 4. Updating the Resource Pack
If a new version is released:
- Remove the old
.zipfile from yourresourcepacksfolder. In Prism, you can also just disable it by unchecking the box, without necessarily having to delete the old version. - Add the updated
.zipfile. - Restart Minecraft or reload resource packs in-game.
