Codeberg ridiculously slow in Hungary (half the speed of 56k dialup) #2593

Hello,

For a long time now, every time I access Codeberg, everything takes forever to load. I measured it today and it took 4 minutes to transfer 784 KB, which translates to 26 kbit/s, or 0.47x the speed of ITU V.90. I've talked to some friends from other countries about this, but they always say Codeberg loads just fine for them. My internet is fine, every other website loads normally, and this has been a thing for months. Is this some sort of peering issue with my ISP specifically? Where would I go about discussing this in some more depth (e.g. providing my IP and ISP) with someone from Codeberg?

It has been excruciatingly slow here; I am currently in Switzerland. There is a few minutes latency for making a very simple git push; it actually hangs for a while before printing everything.

I've a offer to make, please first run https://www.bitwizard.nl/mtr/ against codeberg.org (217.197.84.140) that might offer insight in a slow peer.

Otherwise I could start a iperf3 server temporarily to look at the raw throughput.

Feel free to reach out privately to set this up (gusted@codeberg.org or https://matrix.to/#/@gusted:matrix.org)
