Detailed description
In this PR we do a little cleanup of some comment style issues that were noticed as part of the BMPv3 PR or introduced recently. This brings particularly some code in the Cortex-M support more into line with the rest of the code base, cleaning up the logic for a clang-tidy lint along the way.

## Detailed description
