UnpackedX 0259cb0baa Keep changelog_kizzey.md local only 
CHANGELOG.md is the public changelog for Codeberg; changelog_kizzey.md is a
local working draft, so untrack it and add it to .gitignore. The file stays
on disk, it just no longer lives in the repo.

Important

This is a fork. Kizzy was created by dead8309 and all credit for the app and its foundation is theirs. Kizzey only adds features on top. If you like it, please star the original Kizzy.

What is this

Kizzey sets a custom Discord Rich Presence from your Android phone: show the app you are using, the music you are playing, live device stats, or a fully custom status. It runs on your own account through Kizzy's gateway connection, so it works with the Discord app closed and without root.

It installs alongside the original Kizzy under its own xyz.Kizzey application ID, so you can keep both.

Features

Rich Presence

  • Custom, App Detection, Media and Experimental RPC modes.
  • Media artwork, a live playback progress bar, and a YouTube mode (watching, channel, thumbnail).
  • {{token}} templates, auto-rolling status lines, and a live "Update RPC" that applies changes without a restart.

System RPC (Shizuku, no root)

  • Live device tokens in your presence: battery, charging, CPU, RAM, FPS, volume, network and more.
  • Audio-format tokens: sample rate, bit depth and output path.
  • Accurate foreground-app detection through dumpsys.

Controls and automation

  • A draggable floating bubble and a resizeable Quick Controls pop-up.
  • Samsung One UI theme and Modes and Routines linkage, plus a broadcast API for Tasker.
  • Profile Automation (bio and status cycling) and Bulk Message Removal, both opt-in behind a warning.

Stays running

  • Background keep-alive with a battery-optimisation exemption and an optional Shizuku watchdog.
  • Self-healing gateway that reconnects and re-applies your presence after a drop.

Look and feel

  • Material You dynamic colour, a true-black AMOLED theme, and a Samsung One UI style.

Note

Kizzey installs side by side with the original Kizzy, so you do not need to uninstall Kizzy first.

Build

You will need Android Studio (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Gradle).

Warning

Kizzey drives a Discord Gateway connection with your account token. Use it at your own risk. Custom rich presence has worked this way for years without known account terminations, but there are no guarantees. Only download Kizzey from this repository.

Kizzey, like Kizzy, is released under the GNU GPL 3.0 licence. You may use, study and modify the source, but derived work may not be distributed as closed-source commercial software. Kizzy is copyright dead8309; the Kizzey fork is maintained by UnpackedX.
