Add archive creation tests - compare outputs with llvm ar #39

Very limited coverage at the moment, but it helped me uncover a couple of places where we didn't match the output of llvm-ar which in these cases now works all OK (I checked those fixes direct into master).

This is a good start to the testing system, but goal now will be to expand coverage. I have ideas for doing this, going for both breadth and depth!
