there's actually a devlog on itch-io: https://rollerozxa.itch.io/box-smasher/devlog
On the website, there's a news section but it doesn't seem to create any consumable rss feed.
The maintainer also has a mastodon feed: https://fosstodon.org/@ROllerozxa
