dnscrypt-proxy configuration

This is a good starting point for dnycrypt-proxy settings and is based on the (German) atricle Anonyme DNS-Kommunikation mit Pi-hole und dnscrypt-proxy.

Configuration file of dnycrypt-proxy: dnscrypt-proxy.toml

It should be placed in the folder where you have installed dnscrypt-proxy (e.g. /opt/dnscrypt-proxy)

Remarks

• You'll need a recent version of dnscrypt-proxy (see releases page of the project). Otherwise this configuration will not work because older versions doen't support all of the configuration options.
• The configuration only uses DNSCrpyt and ODoH with anonymized DNS.
• The servers/relays/routes are optimized for Germany. If you reside in another country, you'll have to specify other servers/relays/routes.
• dnscrypt-proxy can easily be used by Pi-hole in order to block ads and tracking.
