Not the topmost priority IMHO, but we should keep in mind that not everyone is quite well at reading and understanding English. I'm especially thinking of users that aren't software developers for ages, but maybe newcomers that are doing their first-time contribution or team members that don't do code work and want to look something up in the docs.
For sure, there will be much more users profiting from a translated documentation.

So if someone has got an idea on how we could manage translation of our static documentation, this would be really neat!

Didn't spot #22 when opening this.

Hello,
I would like to start translating the documentation into French. I propose to provide markdown files, respecting the plan of existing documentation.
I don’t pretend to translate everything, but at least start the job well.

My main interest is to learn how to use the tool as best as possible and improve my understanding of English.
I have already recently practiced the exercise by translating the Getting Started section of the Csound FLOSS Manual which should be online soon.

What do you think?

Hi, that would be great. However, the first step needs to allow translation to be handled in the docs at all. It would be unfortunate if you translate the docs and the work cannot be shown to anyone.

Also, I'm not really sure about the commitment to keep pages up to date. We likely need a way for the site to detect and display outdated pages to users.
