Disruptive line breaks in profile bio #135

Closed
opened 2020年02月15日 18:03:14 +01:00 by Ertmotsi · 5 comments

The profile text boxes' line breaks slice words without hyphen.

Proposed solution options:

  • Shaping the width of the entry field for writing the bio the same size as the showcase one
  • Automatically set hyphen (with/without regards to proper cutting)
  • Automatically put words into the next line if their total length is exceding box bounds

The example provided is a screenshot of my own bio. So since this is my first Issue please consider this my formal introduction to the lovely crowd.

@Ertmotsi

Thanks for reporting, that indeed look weird.

@Ertmotsi

I changed the style, hope it does not break something else... ;)

@Ertmotsi markdown is now supported, you should use \n\n for a new line, as you do for other markdown things too ...

I can reproduce the behaviour on my private gitea instance running 1.14.2 but not on try.gitea.io which runs a 1.15-dev version.

We should re-check this after Codeberg has been updated to the final 1.15.
