Claw Machine
This project contains the files needed to build a DIY claw machine arcade game. The machine uses an Arduino Nano powered motor control board to drive the mechanical components and a Raspberry Pi to read the controls, run the game logic, and display game information on the attached 800x480 Waveshare HDMI display. The controls are an off-the-shelf arcade joystick and buttons kit with USB interface board.
Machine
The claw machine is mostly manufactured from 20x20mm aluminum T-slot extrusion, 24" in length. The sides are acrylic panels for the front and sides and wood panels for the back and bottom. The controls and Pi display are mounted to a segmented, 3D printed panel.
Electronics
The electronics board consists of an Arduino Nano, a variable buck converter regulator to step 12V down to 5V, and three EasyDriver stepper motor controllers.
Controls
The game controller is an arcade stick and buttons kit with USB interface board.
