Add a toggle (in the title bar) to stack the notes list beneath the
notebook tree in a single column, with a draggable divider to set the
split. ResizeHandle gains a horizontal orientation; layout mode and
split ratio persist in vault state.

Thanks, cleanly done. I'm going to pass on this one though, I'd rather keep the layout opinionated than take on a second layout mode to maintain across desktop and mobile. Nothing wrong with the PR, just not a direction I want to add. Appreciate the work.
