That sounds like a terribly annoying problem. I wish I could help finding what the issue is, but I don't know how begin. Would I risk bricking my phone?

If wanted, I could help with development by running software on the phone for testing.

Altough, I am not sure what the process would look like as I have never done anything like this before.
