The message is a bit more descriptive if wchar_t isn't usable: > checking whether wchar_t is signed... yes > no usable wchar_t found I'm not sure if it's worth to backport to 3.6, but it's a nice improvement for 3.7 and master branches. Also, it simplifies the checking for wchar_t a bit, which is good. |
