Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux-image-
I have root volume on storage controller ISP12160 so I need to load module qla1280 and firmware qlogic/12160.bin .
With 2.6.28-9-generic everything works fine,
with 2.6.30-6-generic there is problem to find firmware. In generated initrd.
There is also another difference 2.6.28-
udev is responsible for shipping the firmware loader in the initramfs. I think we forgot that some SCSI drivers have firmware too the last time we had this discussion ...
Actually, this needs more than the loader it needs the rules too
Also needs kernel udeb support.
