• This phrase ties today’s verse to everything Wisdom has just declared about her eternal worth (Proverbs 8:1-31). Because all of that is true, action is needed right now. Scripture often presses urgency the same way: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts” (Hebrews 3:7-8); “Now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).
• A family term that makes the call personal and affectionate. God’s wisdom addresses us as loved children (John 1:12; 1 John 3:1). That relationship demands humble teachability, echoing Proverbs 3:11-12 and Hebrews 12:5-6 where discipline proves sonship.
