An attentive and objective analysis of the concepts of integral knowledge, unitotality, conciliarity, sophiology, and onomatodoxy, which are considered to be the acquisition of an independent religious love of wisdom of the Russian philosophers, reveals the same origins and foundations that can be found in the works by Western philosophers, theologians, and mystics.

Bulgakov (2002) argues along these lines through his (controversial?) Sophiology (distinguished between Divine and creaturely Sophia).

Bulgakov's conception of "economy," located at the crossroads of the usual material sense and the religious meaning of "economy of salvation," is understood here as good management, as "care" for the world (183), in a sense that is nearly Heideggerian but linked to Sophiology. This was a doctrine that appeared in Russia at the end of the 19th century, according to which God's presence in the created world, in everything that exists apart of Him, is within the reach of intuitive or mystical knowledge.

His sophiology seems to have structural parallels with central aspects of Jewish mysticism; all writers dealt with in this volume belong--in all their differences and in different degrees--to the heritage of Soloviev.
