for the designation of food additives and the revision of use standards.
Please fill the section "Inquiry Form for Consultation" attached below
and
forward it to the consultation center via email.

Please take the following points into consideration when filling out the "Inquiry Form":
・"Classification": Check the box for the appropriate item.
・"Consultation issue": Check the box for subject to be consulted. You may select
multiple answers..
・"Name of the food additive": Provide the substance name (not the commercial
name)
of the food additive.
・"Component composition": State the intended uses of the food additive.
Please refer to the Standards for Use of Food Additives published by MHWL.
・"Subject foods of the food additiv": Describe in detail what you need advice on.
If you are unable to write in the space provided, please write on a
separate.

・For the initiate consultation, please send us an application form with
outline of the subject
food additive (e.g. summary of components, overseas usage, structural
formula, and etc.).
Note: The face-to-face meeting is conducted in Japanese at our center. Non-Japanese-speaking applicants are requested to be accompanied by an interpreter, if necessary.
