About GTFS
There are a number of resources for GTFS, the standardized data format for transit schedules originally developed for use on Google Transit. A good starting point is the official documentation maintained by Google. The site includes references, and examples.

GTFS-realtime was developed through a partnership between Google and a handful of transit agencies around the world. A GTFS real-time feed gives a "snapshot" of all the active buses operating at the moment. The data is delivered in an extremely lightweight data format called Protocol Buffers. Google maintains a number of resources on the data standard here. Below are links to the MARTA Bus GTFS- Realtime feeds.
