Lecture 6: Higher-Level Judgments
We describe how proofs of meta-theoretic properties (such as value
soundness or type preservation for Mini-ML) can be reified as judgments
relating derivations. These
higher-level judgments can then be
encoded in the logical framework after a small extension in the
definition of the type theory. We use the example of value soundness
for Mini-ML to illustrate these ideas.
