About Us
Code2040 is a Black-led, national nonprofit leading racial equity work in the innovation economy.
We offer direct service programs, clear pathways into the industry, and community resources to contend with the imbalanced distribution of power that Black and Latinx people face in the tech industry.
Why We Do This
2040 is the beginning of the decade when the United States will become majority people of color. As technology continues to have a profound impact on how we interact with money, information, and each other, racial equity in tech is not just about access to jobs, but about access to power. If tech is going to bring in a future where all people can thrive, we need an equitable distribution of power in the innovation economy.

We create spaces to center and celebrate the imaginations, expertise, and experience of Black and Latinx people working in tech.
