働く女性の全国センター 長期ビジョン =100年を見通して=

(2012年作成、2017年改訂)

(1)「はたらく」定義

労働者という肩書きは女性たちにはよそよそしい。

なぜなら、女性たちは肩書き抜きに、はたらいてきたからだ。

私たちにとって「はたらく」とはなにか。

はたらくとは、キャリアを積み上げることではない。

はたらくとは、命を支えることだ。

賃金が支払われる労働だけではなく

家事・育児・介護・社会活動・趣味など

自分を支え、人を支え、命を支えるあらゆる営みである。

(2)団体のありかた

誰かを蹴落とすこと、優位に立つことを求めるのではなく

従属や支配ではない、

尊重をもとにした関係を作り出すことを、

私たちは目指す。

私たちは、命の側に立ち、

人びとの前に、女性たちの前に立ちはだかる

搾取・差別・偏見・欺瞞に抵抗する。

抵抗することに疲労を覚える時は、

休み、涙し、力を与え合い、笑う。

(3)女性の分断をこえる

女性はいまだに、分断されている。

独身か既婚か、パートか正社員か、病気か健康か、はたまた。

権力が私たちを引き裂く。私たちもまた、

立場の違いによって相手の声に耳をふさぎたくなることもある。

だが、引き裂かれた裂け目に、私たちは橋を架ける。

意見の違いを認め、対話することをあきらめない。

それは互いを遠ざけ合うためにではなく、すべて橋を架けるため。

(4)私たちの姿勢

いつの日か

おんなであること、はたらくことが、

搾取や差別や暴力の対象や温床となるのではなく、

与え合うこと、豊かにし合うこと、

平和を生み出すものとなるために。

その日まで、私たちは休みながらも歩むことを、

ここに記す。

(1) Definition of ‘Work’

For women, to be given the title of "labourer" is inadequate, because even though we have always been working, we have not been recognized as labourers.
What does it mean for us to work?
To work is not simply to build careers.
To work is to sustain lives.
To work goes beyond paid labor. It encompasses all activities that support and enrich lives of ourselves and others, including housework, childrearing, elder care, social activities, and personal hobbies.

(2) Our Principles

We aim to create relationships based on mutual respect, not on obedience or control, not by pushing someone down or taking a dominant position.
We stand for decent life, and we resist exploitation, discrimination, deception, and prejudices which all people confront, especially women.
When we are tired of protesting, we rest, shed tears, laugh, and empower each other.

(3) Overcoming Divisions Among Women

To this day, women are still divided.
Authorities divide us by imposing statuses; single or married, permanent employee or temporary staff, sick or healthy, and so on.
We may also find it difficult to listen to those who have a different position from ours.
Nevertheless, we will build bridges to overcome divisions.
We do not give up promoting dialogue and appreciate differences of opinion.
The purpose is to connect each other, not to distance ourselves from each other.

(4) Our Mission

We declare here that until the day when working or being a woman is free of exploitation, discrimination, and violence; until working or being a woman is a position of mutual support and enrichment, and becomes the cornerstone of peace, we will keep striving, one step at a time, to bring about that goal.

Note: "Women" encompasses all people who identify themselves as women.
