Recently I completed a rough translation of the new Russian National Security Strategy which a friend had requested. Afterwards I thought to myself — I can't let all this effort go to waste, what else can I do with the document? Perhaps it might be useful to other people. I also knew that I wanted to involve more would-be translators in the process of creating the best and most accurate translation possible. So I came up with the idea of creating a Wiki offering translations of Russian-language documents that can't be found elsewhere on the web. I don't yet know whether it will be focused primarily on Russian political materials such as legislation, or more broadly on articles from the media, or whether I will give up and close down the site within a few weeks. For now, if you have a translation request that you think would also serve the interests of the broader Internet community, let me know and I'll see if I can oblige.
