EarleMartin has designed a wonderful ResourceDescriptionFramework-based format to describe the key information about a given wiki. The description provides a semantic description of information like:

Wiki name
Wiki description
Link to RecentChanges
Link to AllPages
Links to functions, like page history, search, diff
WikiEngine
etc.

This is the key content as part of WikiSelfDiscovery?. The other parts are a WikiCrawler?, WikiSearchEngine?, and a standard <link/> tag to point to the WikiProfile.

For AutoDiscovery?, there needs to be either a canonical location (less robust due to UriRewriting? and WikiFarms), or a LinkTag?.
There needs to be a place to discuss the standard. Here?
A way to extend the RDF key:value set in a fluid, natural way so people can add custom extensions.
A tarball key:value set.
