Hi,
This is my first message on this list. I'm TK1BI, and I'm living in
Corsica Island. I'm working with some friends on a new repeater system
which will mix analog and digital communications over a TCP/IP network
(HamNet).
I need a VHF/UHF mobile. The main requirement is that it can be
controlled remotely via computer through serial port.
I saw the FTM-100DE, which looks very nice, and which is sold with a
SCU-20 USB to RS232 interface. But I didn't find anything about the
RS-232 protocol. I do not want to use it with the optional Yaesu
software to clone or program memory channels. I would like to use it in
"real time", to send instructions to the TRX (such as CAT for a HF rig).
Can someone confirm if it's possible or not with FTM-100DE? If so, where
could I find a description of the serial protocol ?
Thank you in avance.
