It will carry over the marked cards, sense that data is save when
you do a log backup. After you do an "Awards update" LOGic looks at that
data to adjust the awards table. That's why it's impotent to do this
function after you done a lot of edits or jumping between ver in this
case.
As for setting for fields sizes etc. this is save in logforms and
LOGFIELDS, under "Tools/Setup/Logfields" here you may have to go thought
and put in the changes for ver 6. I save a copy of my 'DEFAULT LOGFORM'
once I got a setup the way I liked it. So If I had to reinstall LOGic I
could copy in the default form with out have to re do it every time.
I got to a point were I made a special 'Zip file' called a "LOGic Crash
Kit" which is a backup of all import *.dbf, tables files and logforms.
So if I had a crash and had to reinstall I could use the Crash Kit to get
LOGic back to the look and feel I like before the crash. Along with the
monthly data backups, it make it easy to get LOGic up and running in a
few minutes. I know it a bit over kill and sounds dumb but it works. The
only thing to remember is to update the Cash kit from time to time, when
ever there are major changes to the data.
This kit as save me a lot of retyping a few times hi.
