I am very sorry to hear of Al's passing. His emails always made for entertaining reading. I was glad to help him out on a few occasions with various DXB2006 problems He will be missed. RIP my friend.

 AL VE1AL yesterday.. I wanted to pass this info along to the DXbase users.

 I'm sorry to have to report that Al had a massive heart attack and passed away sometime yesterday afternoon. I know that you and he corresponded regularly about this and that, but I don't know how active he was on the DXBase reflector. Perhaps you could pass on the news to that group.
 As I understand it, he was supposed to pick up his grand daughter after school as he usually did, and when he didn't show up, the school contacted his daughter to find out what had happened. She went home--I don't know if she picked up the grand daughter first or not--and found him in his shack. I guess that if you have to go, what better way to do it than doing something that you love.
 Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon. If you need any further info, don't hesitate to drop me a line.
