To all:
I wanted to let you know that I had a DATE correction that
I needed to make to my original email (step-by-step instructions)..
I had the start date as July 15th - when it was supposed to be
May 15th..
I am also going to update the GIF photo at my website at:
www.navycthistory.com/wa6axe/4O_changes.gif
So here is the latest version of the instructions --
----------------------------------------------------------------
1. VERY IMPORTANT --- First, Back-up your Logbook mdb file and
Refdata.mdb file to a safe place.
2. Go to DXbase Main Menu - Tools/ Database Access/ Country Prefixes.
In the Primary prefix TAB of the Prefix Database ADD at the very
bottom of that table, a Temporary entry of :
4O
Montenegro
+42.27
-19.28
"Deleted" : No checkmark
"Field Check" : Checkmark
"Bureau" : Checkmark
15
28
516
EU
+0100
** NOTE: the DXCC # of 516 will be changed later on back-to it's proper
# of 514.
3. Close out the Prefix Database window - so that the entry we just made
can be
saved completely and that you will be able to see it when you go to step 4.
4. Open back up the Prefix Database.
** NOTE: In the Alias Map TAB, there are only 2 sets of columns for the
OLD1 and OLD2
information. Since we will be adding some new info to this
Tab, the
"oldest" info (in OLD2 columns) will simply have to
"drop-out" of the Table.
5. In the Alias Map TAB MODIFY the existing YZ3 and YZ6 Prefix entries
to read as follows:
YZ3 YU 4O 20070515 YU 20060627
YZ6 YU 4O 20070515 YU 20060627
NOTE: we will leave the YZ prefixes under YU (for now) - until the ITU
issues the YZ prefix(es) to
another entity. Past owners of the YZ prefixes need to still be shown.
6. In the Alias Map TAB, MODIFY the existing 4N3 and 4N6 Prefix entries
to read as follows:
4N3 YU 4O 20070515 YU 20060627
4N6 YU 4O 20070515 YU 20060627
NOTE: we will leave the 4N prefixes under YU (for now) - until the ITU
issues the 4N prefix(es) to
another entity. Past owners of the 4N prefixes need to be shown.
7. In the Alias Map TAB, MODIFY the existing 4O, 4O3, 4O4, and 4O6
Prefix entries to read as follows:
4O 4O
4O3 4O YU 20060627
4O4 4O YU 20070515 T9 19921019
4O6 4O YU 20060627
8. In the Alias Map TAB, MODIFY the existing YT3 and YT6 Prefix entries
to read as follows:
YT3 YU 4O 20070515 YU 20060627
YT6 YU 4O 20070515 YU 20060627
9. In the Alias Map TAB, MODIFY the existing YU3 and YU6 Prefix entries
to read as follows:
YU3 YU 4O 20070515 YU 20060627
YU6 YU 4O 20070515 YU 20060627
10. Go to the Call Map TAB -- do a search of the Prefix column for any
YU6 entries that might be in that column.. Change each of them (if
you have found any) from YU6 to 4O.
11. **** FINALLY **** - go back to the Primary Prefix TAB and go to the
YU6 entry.
DELETE that YU6 entry completely. Then go to the 4O entry and change the
DXCC # of 516 -- to read as 514 ...
Close out the Prefix Database window completely.
Go to the Previous QSO window and FIND the YU6 prefix QSO's you might
have in your logbook .... when you have found them, simply change the
Prefix column from YU6 to read 4O ....
You are now done...
