Ok sports fans. We at W4NJA (Paducah, Ky.) have just updated our node from
a T1 to a 3mb X 3mb fiber link to the ISP. The old address was
216.135.37.195 and no port addresses or anything else. The new address is
207.162.164.148 on the new faster link using a Cisco 800 or 850 router (I
can not remember the exact model number). The node connects to AB5K with no
problem and works like it should.

Telnet into 207.162.164.148 and you get the normal sign on screen. I
changed the Host file in my Dxbase 2007 to the correct IP address like I
always have and of course selected it under options like I always have and
it will not connect to the Node. Bruce KS4V who uses Dxbase 2006 did the
same thing with the same result as I. He also has Win-Eqf and it works fine
into the new address.

I then went to the 2007 directory and looked at the Hosts file and made sure
the entry was there. Any ideas?
