[Dxbase] DXBase 2006 - staying connected to DSL

Tnx for all the good input to my problem. I was on an extended road trip so
I couldn't try anything till this past few days.
Up till the past few days I was getting disconnected many times a day. I
took the advice I got from you guys. I went into the setup screen on the
Netgear WGT624 Wireless Router. Went to Basic Setup. Changed Idle Timeout to
zero. It was 8 minutes.
For the past few days I have stayed connected except for once. I can live
with that.
After the next road trip I want to set up VE7CC cluster software. So thanks
for that input too on how to set it up.
73,
N2TK, Tony

Tony
Check your routers 'Port Forwarding' section.
Most Routers have a section in their setup to allow 'Port Forwarding'.
You give permission for the program to access various computer ports (not
com ports) to
pass information.
I can't remember, but I 'think' telnet is port 23.
Maybe one of the readers knows for sure.
