[Dxbase] anybody have a clue

I'm preparing to make my 2006 dxcc submission.
I've got one anomaly I can't seem to figure out.
Each time I receive a qsl for a open band/mode slot, I mark it as confirmed and enter a
code into the Special-1 field. C06-1 (Card 2006-first submission of this year)
In the DXCC Award Submission window I select
QSO LOG
CARDS ONLY
SELECT MARKED QSO RECORDS
ONLY QSOs Special 1 (I enter my C06-1 code)
After running the compute, the report correctly shows a TK/DL4FF for a 17 meter Phone
But it misses a TK/F5CWU for a 17 meter rtty.
If I go and remove the code from the TK/DL4FF qso and rerun the Awards Report with the
same criterion, it then properly omits the 17 meter phone and now includes the TK/F5CWU 17
meter rtty.
I have looked at the two qsos in the log repeatedly and see no reason that the TK/DL4FF
Phone should preempt the TK/F5CWU 17 meter rtty. I even checked to see if the frequency is
in the proper band segment for each mode. I do NOT have a previous qsl for either call in
that band/mode.
I have deleted both qso's, shut down properly, reopened and then re-entered both qso's
making sure to enter correct band, mode, frequency info.
I'm stumped, and obviously missing something obvious.
Any suggestions?
