[DXBase] CW Keying

When I bought my current PC, which runs XP, I didn't install the Userport
program that I had used before with Writelog to send CW from the parallel
port. I had enough serial ports, so I used one with Writelog, but never
could get CW to work with DXbase on a serial port.
Seeing the email below reminded my about my unused LPT port. I pulled out
the old parallel cable with the transistor and resistor built into the roomy
DB-25 and plugged it in.
My expectation was zero, but I must admit, it works with no problem. I now
have LPT1 as CW and COM6 with rig control (and CW in Writelog). Fortunately
I have a bunch of phone-plug "Y" adaptors to parallel all of these CW
inputs!

 Had serval personal inquires on my setup so here it is for every one to
see.
 IC-756pro and an old 300mhz computer using 98se. CW circuit is the one
shown in DXBase.
 COM 1 = Radio Control using home brew controller (IC232, I think).
 COM 2 = RigBlaster 8.
 LPT 1 = CW
DXBase Settings: COM 1, 1200, N, 8, 1, DTR OFF, RTS High.
N1MM Settings: COM 1, 1200, N, 8, 1, DTR=Always Off
 Com 2, Digital, DTR=Always Off, RTS=PTTTx=1
 LPT 1, Pin 17=CW, Pin 16=PTTTx=1
 Also, in DXBase2004 I had to go into the ini and register files and
change the port settings from 24 to 98. Thanks to Courtney and Jack's help
on correcting this problem. I had no CW after installing DXBase2004. Had to
remove the program and delete every thing in the computer that was related
to DXBase2004 and 2002. Don't forget to backup your mdb file.
