I got a new MKIIG also and had not tried it but after seeing
your message I went and tried.
I notice that the MKIIG was not listed so I tried the 706MK2
in the radio settings, this would not work, then I thought about
all the different Icom radios having different HEX addresses.
I then went to my DXBase folder and opened the "Radios.ini"
file in Notepad, do a Find for 706MK2 then scroll down a little
and find the line with "Address = 0x4e"(I think the 4e is correct.
Change this lint to read "Address = 0x58"
Save the newly edited Radios.ini and now it will work using
the 706MK2 radio setting. I user the fastest speed that the radio
supports 19200 and 8,N,1
Hope this helps
