Subject: Re: [Dx-qsl] LOTW and their "log jam"
...probably missing my point, as did my very good friend AA6YQ...
My point is... I may make an application right now... based on credits that
I "see" right now...
Other logs have been uploaded days ago that will not match until AFTER I
make application due to the delay in processing. They won't match in an
application until AFTER I make application - even though they're already
uploaded by the other party. So that causes folks to wait until the very
last moment.
That's my point.
+++ The growing LotW processing delays have been with us for months.
Starting on December 10th, the ARRL began displaying the current processing
delay on its web page, updating it hourly. From that point, users had more
than a week to upload QSOs to LotW in time for them to be processed before
year end.
+++ DXPedition logs that were uploaded to LotW after the 19th or 20th will
likely not be processed before the year end. That's unfortunate, but you
reap what you sow. The investment in LotW development and maintenance has
been way too low for far too long.

 Dave, AA6YQ
