[Dx-qsl] 3B9FR

Danny, I agree with your lament. Over the years 3B9FR totaled 75% of my 3B9
QSO's, all but 2 were different bands/modes. Fortunately, I had contacted
Jackie, 3B8CF, from 3B6/7 and 3B9 and was able to confirm with no problem
with him. I did have 2 3B9C QSO's which I had forgotten about since they
were generic 15 and 20 mtr QSO's. I'll have to ask nicely to get them
confirmed at this late date.
I also find it surprising that the logs aren't being handled by a manager.
It should pay for itself. My biggest challenge with Dave Heil's QSL's was
the MANY duplicate cards I received via the buro and direct. The J52US
cards were probably the largest violators. I actually began tracking
manually the MANY, MANY dupes and even with that, the generosity of the
amateur community covered the cost of the postage, as it did throughout his
journeys. I'm also sure that one of the international DX clubs would fund
the printing for probably 10-20,000 QSL's if the extra funds couldn't
support it.
I hope that he's able to get a manager. Many others REALLY need the 3B9 to
complete various awards, and certainly the amateur community is willing to
help.
Let's hope !
73
