Me and some friends (all members of RAAWG - SZ1A) visited Mount Athos like
pilgrims the last days. As i had promised i asked Father Apollo SV2ASP about
any possibility to upload his logs in LotW. He didn't know at all what LotW
is. I explained him abt LotW and he confirmed that all of his logs are
written on hand so it is almost impossible to upload them. He has
difficulties to write on a computer program his qsos and he will continue to
write on paper. He aggreed to try to upload SY2A qsos (which are less) but
he needs to import them in software as these are also written on hand. I
hope he will find the time to do it soon.
Beside this...
The good news are that we repaired his beam antenna and the cable of the
rotator. So he can use the A3S agn on 10, 15, 20 and 30m (he has the kit
installed). He tried it Friday afternoon and Saturday morning with very good
results as he did abt 200 qsos. He was on the air using a vertical the last
time and the signals were much better in beam. The bad news are that the
part of the monastery where he lives will be rebuilted and his shack must be
transfered. It is uknown this moment if it will affect his ability to
operate.
