[Dx-qsl] QSLing tips from a NON manager

Tips on filling out the card:
Always make it clear what is the DAY and MONTH, i.e. does 8/11 mean August 11
or November 8? I always write the date:
 08-MAR-2006
(some use Roman numerals for the month).
Always use ZULU time (UTC), not local time. On a recent "Song" flight, they
referred to it as "Z-time". I've never heard that one before!
Make sure it's clear whether you are specifying the BAND or the FREQ. 10
meters or 10 MHz? 18 MHz or 1.8 MHz? I usually write "18.0" so as not to
confuse it with "1.8" MHz.
Put all the QSO information, including YOUR call, on the same side of the QSL.
That way the manager doesn't have to turn it over.
List QSOs chronologically as much as possible. I used to send multiple cards,
with, say, both 20 meter QSOs (CW and SSB) on the same card, even if they were
days apart and some QSOs intervened. I don't do this any more. For 3Y0X, I
plan to print all the QSO data on a piece of plain paper and glue it to the
back of a QSL so it's all listed in one place, in order.
If you are really unsure of a QSO, try to write down a couple of calls the DX
worked before and after you in case the manager has to search for your call in
the log (especially if the DX station got your call wrong, i.e. AD1CA). I save
all my RTTY QSOs this way, since it's only a couple of mouse clicks.
