[Dx-qsl] QSLing Courtesy

When I got started in ham radio, I was taught "a QSL is the final courtesy
of a QSO". Back in those days, (early 1970's) no stateside station ever
demanded an SASE for a card. We sent QSLs as postcards with postcard
postage. I have stacks of them here received that way - no SASE sent or
expected. QSLing was basically automatic after a QSO, and return rates
were high. I don't remember when everyone started demanding SASEs but it
strikes me as being a bit of a cheapskate - some of you guys have
thousands, if not tens of thousands, of dollars invested in rigs, amps,
towers, antennas, etc., and then say you can't afford a few postcard
stamps? Get real!
Obviously, these comments are not aimed at DX, DXpeditions, etc. - that is
another case entirely.
Lighten up a little and chase the moths out of your wallets.
