What worries me about e-QSLing and uploading of logs is that what if a
DXpedition gets MY call wrong
like GM4FDT or GM4FDG and the wrong call is
loaded onto the QSL server.
I might have to agrue the toss that it was in fact ME that was worked.
What if the "wrong"call spies the log entry and claims the QSO for himself?
The red herring about printed labels is a non starter.
QSL managers can verify and authroise cards well enough
without having to worry about whether or not the act of
producing a label is an "electronic QSL"...............
Some writing is illegible - therefore a label is a logical progression,
providing it can be verified if required.
Major expeditions nowadaws with 100,000
QSL's in the log simply could not cope if they were required to QSL by hand
and a lot of people would be disappointed.
And finally - if the 701 boys submit their "paperwork" can I assume that
their operation will be as good as the P5???? I would support the idea.
I doubt if anyone could go to Yemen and operate openly an amateur radio
station without any form of permission. I mean - if you or I tried it, we
would be immediately locked up as a spy - or worse!
